On Friday, February 10, REI officially opened their doors in The Classic City!
Athens Mayor Kelly Girtz joined the Polias and REI teams, as well as an many eager community members, for the traditional REI webbing cutting.
Grand opening activities continued throughout the weekend and included the presence of local nonprofits such as Extra Special People/Java Joy and the Aimee Copeland Foundation, and a vendor village consisting of some of REI’s most notable brands.
