New Model Brings High Quality, Quick Service to the Heart of Athens
Dec. 8, 2022 — Athens, GA —Specialty coffee shop, Choco Pronto, is now open at 700 Baxter STE. 400. Choco Pronto is unique in design and features a quick service counter and a high-top espresso bar designed to get customers on their way each day.
The model was inspired by the coffee shops seen in the Pacific Northwest where commuters and others can save time while not having to sacrifice the quality of the beverage.
“We believe Athens needed a coffee shop where you can not only get a high-quality cup of coffee but get it quickly,” said Brett Magner, who is partners in the venture with Nick Dale. “We want customers to pop in for that daily drink, see someone they know and chat at the raised espresso bar before heading onto the next thing for the day. It’s not that we don’t want you to stay, it’s that we want to help get you going!”
The store is proud to roast and sell Choco (pronounced CHO-KO) Coffee, the product of Athens culinary mainstays, Nick and Peter Dale, of Condor Chocolates. Working directly with community partners, Choco Coffee Roasters selects the finest coffee beans in Ecuador and roasts them in Athens, GA. Choco Coffee is named for the stunning Choco cloud forest in Ecuador and the colorful toucan that makes that rainforest its home.
